Methods of Payment

Whatever method you choose - all BUPA International health insurance subscriptions are paid by the member directly to BUPA International.

Direct Debit

Only available if you have a UK bank account. Simply fill in the direct debit mandate when you complete the application form, and BUPA will deduct your subscriptions from your account. You can choose to pay annually, quarterly or monthly.

Bankers Draft or Cheque

You can pay your subscription annually or quarterly by banker's draft or cheque. Payment can be made in the currency you have chosen to pay your subscriptions. BUPA will not accept monthly payment by banker's draft or cheque.

Credit Card

You can pay your subscriptions by Mastercard, VISA or American Express card. Payment can be made in the currency you have chosen to pay your subscriptions, and you can choose to pay annually, quarterly or monthly. To pay by credit card, simply complete the Card Payment Authority on the reverse of the application form.

Note - If you decide reduce your premium by paying the first part of your claims for the year, what BUPA calls an 'annual deductible', you must pay by either credit card or Direct Debit, though you can still pay monthly or quarterly if you wish.

If you have a UK bank account, Direct Debit is by far the simplest way to pay, and depending on your banking arrangements will probably be the cheapest. Payment is made automatically, and is hassle free, though of course you will still be advised of the cost at renewal, when you can make any changes you wish.

Whatever method you use, if you pay annually or quarterly you will benefit from an extra discount (currently 3.9% and 2.9% respectively).

You can change your method of payment at any time, just ask us.
